Lauren Thomas is an associate in the Global Corporate Practice Group based in our London office.

    Her practice covers all aspects of corporate work, including UK and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, group reorganisations and general corporate advice.

    Lauren has undertaken secondments at one of the UK’s largest television broadcasters and at a multinational retailer.

    • Advising Grafton Group plc on the disposal of Plumbase, its specialist UK plumbing and heating business, for c.£60 million.
    • Advising Citron Hygiene, a provider of washroom hygiene, pest control, ware-washing and chemical solutions, on three UK acquisitions.
    • Advising the shareholders on the investment in Brainlabs by Livingbridge.
    • Regularly advising companies on various corporate governance matters (including as acting company secretary).
    • Advising Lucite International on the disposal of its cast acrylic sheet and composites business.
    • Advising EDF Renewables in relation to the sale of a 49% minority stake in 24 of its UK wind farms for £701 million.
    • Advising the shareholders and management of PEI on the investment on the company by Bridgepoint Development Capital.
    • Advising Grafton Group plc on the acquisition of Leyland SDM for £82.4 million.
    • Advising the shareholders of BaseCase GmbH, a Software-as-a-Service provider to pharmaceutical and medtech companies, on the sale of the company to Certara USA, Inc.
    • Advising the shareholders and management of Alston Elliot, a leading provider of premium data-driven graphics solutions for live sports broadcasts, on the management buyout by Inflexion Private Equity.
    • Advising the shareholders of Stem Marketing Limited, a leading global provider of commercial, marketing and medical audits to pharmaceutical companies, on the sale of the company to UDG Healthcare plc for up to approximately £84 million.
    • Advising on the sale of Championship football clubs Aston Villa Football Club and Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.
    • Advising the shareholders of MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Ltd on the sale of the company to L-3 Communications for up to approximately £288 million.
