Mark Thomas has wide-ranging experience in structured finance including securitisation, structured loan products, trust structures, debt capital markets and derivatives.

    Mark regularly acts for banks, private equity firms, building societies, originators, issuers, servicers and special servicers, liquidity facility providers and trustees in relation to UK and cross-border transactions.
     
    Mark also advises clients on loan portfolio sales and acquisitions (including distressed portfolios) and his securitisation experience is extensive, with a particular emphasis on areas such as commercial real estate and residential mortgage loans, auto loans and trade receivables.
     
    He also ensures clients are kept up to date on the raft of new financial regulations since the financial crisis and has been instrumental in creating new capital efficient lending structures for banks.

Mark's transactions have been shortlisted for the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers awards in recent years.
