Markéta Topinková
Senior Associate
Markéta Topinková’s primary focus is in the areas of real estate, corporate finance, corporate law and public procurement. She joined the firm in 2008 after working at a major Prague-based law firm for three years.
During her legal career, she has also gained experience in litigation and arbitration. As the Czech Republic Life Sciences coordinator for the firm, Markéta helps clients with her knowledge and experience in providing legal services to companies in this sector, including, in particular, advising in connection with clinical trials and public procurement. Markéta advises both Czech Republic-based and international clients on real estate acquisitions, greenfield and brownfield development, corporate acquisition and restructuring matters, as well as public tenderers and bidders in the area of public contracting. She is able to fully support the clients throughout the entire life cycle of the development projects, from architectonic contest until warrants claims matters. Various projects helped Markéta to develop unique legal, business and market knowledge.
Of particular importance is her recent engagement in commenting on the New Construction Act and proposals for its changes, including her active involvement in the Association for Development of the Real Estate Market (ARTN), in particular in the Construction Law working group, and within the Real Estate Council of AmCham Czech Republic.

- Assisting with the formation of a joint venture company and its real estate development project in Olomouc, Czech Republic.
- Negotiating leases of retail premises of shopping malls in the Czech Republic.
- Negotiating leases of office and industrial facilities for international clients in the Czech Republic.
- Assisting a Czech investor with formation of a joint venture with a foreign investor for development of an innovative technology park in the Czech Republic.
- Advising foreign client in the purchase of the largest Czech-based independent operator of photovoltaic power plants in Central and Eastern Europe.
- Assisting a global firm with BTS industrial property acquisition.
- Supporting a global client during a complex fit-out project of a historical landmark office building in Prague.
Public Procurement
- Advising an international company bidding on the public procurement process in the Czech Republic.
- Providing support to public tenderer in connection with tenders organised under the Act on Public Procurement.
Life Sciences
- Advising on clinical trial agreements negotiations and finalisation.
- Assisting clients with regulatory issues and supporting them in public tenders.
