Taylor Weaver’s practice focuses on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, corporate governance and securities law compliance matters for private and public companies. He represents buyers and sellers, both private equity and strategic, in connection with acquisitions and dispositions of companies and assets in various industries. Taylor counsels companies on matters including securities, fund formation, fundraising, small business investment company (SBIC) certification, and general commercial and contractual negotiations.

    Taylor received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was awarded the Georgetown University Law Center Exceptional Pro Bono Honoree. Taylor was also the co-founder and president of the Urban Energy Garden, a nonprofit created to empower disadvantaged communities, by developing leaders and educating the public on environmental health, sustainable energy and technology.

    Prior to joining the firm, Taylor was a private equity and M&A lawyer at three large law firms in Chicago and on the East Coast.
