Mike Weitzman’s practice focuses on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, corporate governance and securities law compliance matters for private and public companies. His M&A experience has included transactions within the technology, financial services, chemicals, aerospace and aviation, and retail services industries.

Prior to earning his J.D., Mike spent 10 years working internationally for a Fortune 200 company. During that time, Mike was responsible for driving global corporate development initiatives throughout Asia Pacific, EMEA and Latin America, applying his cross-border experience, language proficiencies and cross-cultural competencies to design and implement strategic corporate initiatives. Mike maintains full professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and working proficiency in Spanish.

  • Representing companies in connection with various forms of merger and acquisition activity, including public and private mergers, asset acquisitions and stock purchases.
  • Advising clients on corporate governance and entity formation matters.
  • Advising public and private clients on general contract negotiation and analysis.
  • Conducting Chinese language diligence on cross-practice and cross-border matters.
  • Counseling public company clients in connection with SEC compliance and reporting, including proxy solicitations, annual meeting materials, registration statements, and current and period reports.
  • Advising clients on potential opportunities associated with the growth of special purpose acquisition companies.
  • Advising clients on quarterly cash repatriations.
