Joanne Whitfield
Senior Associate
Jo is a senior associate in our Real Estate department based in our Manchester office with over eight years of experience acting for a range of clients on a broad range of transactions. Her particular experience covers landlord and tenant, investment sales and purchases, management and portfolio transactions.
Jo advises corporate occupiers on acquisitions and disposals of both leasehold and freehold land and on the on-going management of property.
- Acting for Land Securities plc in relation to management of its property portfolio and purchase and disposal of property interests dealing with both freehold and leasehold property and newly constructed buildings.
- Acting for Great Portland Estates Limited handling large volume management transactions including lettings, surrenders, variations and licences to assign and sub-let.
- Acting for SEGRO Slough Estates Group purchasing industrial sites and being responsible for the ongoing management property post completion of the purchase.
- Acting for British Land plc in relation to management of its property portfolio in particular properties let to J Sainsbury plc.
- Acting for various German Investment Funds purchasing and disposing of investment property in the UK market on deals with a value of between £20million and £147million.
- Acting for landowner in relation to the long lease to Sainsbury’s for the development of a Sainsbury’s Store.
- Acting for Manchester Airport plc purchasing land for development purposes.
