Gordon-Alexander Wille’s practice focuses on global litigation and risk management. Gordon represents companies in complex commercial litigation, dispute resolutions and related regulatory investigations across the globe, with a focus on defending manufacturers in products liability claims, ranging from single-plaintiff cases to nationwide class actions. As a native German, Gordon is licensed to practice in both the US (California) and Germany.

    Gordon also advises technology start-up clients on regulatory issues for autonomous vehicles and teleoperations. And as a member of our Germany team, Gordon advises German and other international clients in a wide range of corporate and commercial law matters, including cross-border M&A, joint ventures, formations and venture capital.

    Prior to joining the firm, Gordon worked with leading international law firms in New York and Berlin. During his postgraduate legal training with the Higher Regional Court of Berlin, he has also spent time as a legal trainee with the Federal Ministry of Defense and the German Embassy in Washington DC.

    Gordon actively supports the Friends of the Urban Forest, a nonprofit organization promoting a larger, healthier urban forest as part of San Francisco’s green infrastructure through community planting, tree care, education and advocacy.

    • Defending multiple class actions against a major automobile manufacturer, alleging product defects and violations of consumer protection laws.
    • Defending individual lawsuits against an auto manufacturer through the US, alleging electronic software defects that led to either spontaneous deployment or non-deployment of airbags.

    Regulatory

    • Advising technology company on issues of autonomous driving and teleoperations.

    eDiscovery

    • Counselling an international automotive manufacturer in large products liability litigation.

    Pro Bono

    • Seeking parole eligibility and subsequently parole for juveniles sentenced to life without possibility of parole.
    • Seeking discharge upgrades for US veterans.
