Sergey Yurlov is an associate in the Moscow office. He has assisted Russian and foreign clients in numerous lawsuits at Russian courts of general jurisdiction, state commercial courts and the Intellectual Property Court.

    Sergey also focuses on general corporate and business matters including drafting agreements and contracts, corporate documents, preparing due diligence reports, and advising clients on bankruptcy, compliance, anticorruption, labor and personal data protection issues.

    Sergey has extensive practical knowledge in the sports law arena, focusing on the protection of athletes’ rights and sports disputes resolution. He also contributes to the law-making procedure, preparing opinions on draft laws to the Russian sports-related legislation. 

    Prior to joining the firm, Sergey undertook internships at US and Russian law firms.

    Sergey is a member of International Association of Sports Law (IASL) and the National Union of Sports Lawyers.

    Dispute Resolution and Insolvency

    • Representing a major India-based pharmaceutical company in state commercial courts regarding trademark infringements.
    • Representing a major US-based food supplement and sport nutrition producer in the Russian Intellectual Property Court regarding trademark issues.
    • Representing a major foreign company in a state commercial court regarding judicial fees and expenses refund. 
    • Representing Russian and foreign banks in bankruptcy proceedings.
    • Participating in debt recovery proceedings.

    • Assisting in advising Russian and foreign legal entities on procedure of notification on dual citizenship. 
    • Assisting in advising Russian and foreign legal entities on employees’ personal data, drafting non-disclosure agreements of employees’ personal data.
    • Assisting in advising an individual on the exercise of the “right to be forgotten”.
