About Agnieszka

Agnieszka Wellenberg is a senior associate in the International Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She represents clients in commercial and investment treaty arbitrations, as well as international litigation proceedings. Agnieszka acts in disputes in a wide range of institutions and arbitral rules, with particular focus on manufacturing, automotive, supply chain, infrastructure and construction matters.

Prior to relocating to Abu Dhabi, Agnieszka was based in our Frankfurt office. She advises clients in English, German and Polish, and has a good knowledge of Spanish.

Agnieszka received her legal education from the Free University Berlin (Germany), University Complutense of Madrid (Spain) and King’s College London (England).

  • Representing a government entity in a construction dispute arising out of an infrastructure project in the UAE.
  • Representing a multinational automotive supplier in a US$20 million SCC arbitration arising from a product recall.
  • Advising a European energy company in relation to a multi-million energy dispute under the ICC arbitration rules.
  • Representing a multinational automotive supplier in a US$25 million SCC arbitration arising from a product recall.
  • Part-time secondment as in-house legal counsel for the DACH region at one of the world’s largest tire manufacturers.
  • Representing a European infrastructure company in a €39 million LCIA arbitration relating to construction of a tram system in Qatar.
  • Representing a Central Asian state in a €45 million ICSID arbitration relating to construction of agricultural facilities.
  • Representing a South American airline in a €2 billion cartel damages litigation in Germany.
  • Representing a Spanish automotive supplier in a €25 million commercial litigation in Germany, arising from an early termination of a supply relationship.
  • Representing a UAE investor in various shareholder litigations in Germany, relating to recovery of damages exceeding €18 million.
  • Representing an investor in a commercial litigation in Germany, relating to recovery of a multimillion-euro investment.
