About Amy

Amy Lozupone is a public policy advisor in the firm’s Washington DC Public Policy Practice. She works with former Speaker John Boehner on global business development initiatives and strategic consulting matters for clients, while also working closely with other members of the firm’s Public Policy Practice.

Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Amy served as Director of Administrative Operations for the Office of the Speaker in the US Capitol under Speaker Boehner for nearly five years, after working for Speaker Boehner in similar capacities for a decade on Capitol Hill. After Speaker Boehner’s departure from the US House, Amy served for three months as a transition advisor to current Speaker Paul Ryan and directed Speaker Boehner’s post-congressional office.

Amy’s work with Speaker Boehner began in 2001 when he was Chairman of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and continued when he became House Majority Leader in 2006, House Minority Leader in 2007 and, ultimately, Speaker in 2011. In that role, Amy planned and implemented all matters relating to the administrative functioning of the Speaker’s Office, including budgeting, personnel and administrative policy.

Amy began her career on Capitol Hill as an intern for former US Representative Sherwood Boehlert. She then served as a staff assistant at the House Committee on Education and Labor from 1988 until 1998 under Chairman James Jeffords and Chairman William Goodling. In 1998, Amy began a three-year stint working for the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the US House of Representatives before returning to Committee work under Chairman Boehner.
