About Callum

Callum Harris is an associate in the Construction & Engineering team.

He advises developers, contractors, landlords, tenants, lenders, local and national government bodies, and consultants, on a wide range of contentious and noncontentious construction and engineering matters.

Callum supports clients throughout the life cycle of construction and infrastructure projects, providing both project advisory and dispute resolution expertise. He has particular experience in adjudication and litigation, acting in complex disputes involving delay, extensions of time, loss and expense, and professional negligence claims.

He regularly advises on construction and engineering contracts, development and funding agreements. Callum also has significant experience advising clients on cladding remediation projects and associated risk management issues.

Experience

  • Advised the freeholder of a large residential development in London in disputes arising from cladding remediation works.*

  • Advised a developer on a multimillion-pound professional negligence claim against a structural engineer concerning design issues.*

  • Advising employers, contractors and subcontractors across the supply chain on the pursuit and defence of final account, extension of time and variation claims.*

  • Represented a residential property management company responsible for one of the UK’s largest private residential portfolios on all construction and building safety matters, including large-scale cladding remediation projects following the introduction of the Building Safety Act 2022. This included advising on remediation works funded through government schemes and developer-led remediation programmes.*
