Carl Berthold is a litigator in our Los Angeles office. His practice focuses on a variety of complex litigation matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Carl practiced in a boutique trial firm and gained experience across multiple areas of law, including business litigation for both plaintiff and defense, personal injury, defending employers, and appeals.
Carl is experienced in all aspects of litigation and handles cases from inception through trial and appeal.
Served as sole trial counsel through trial and jury verdict for improper disclosure of mental health records, and successfully overturned a motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict on appeal resulting in a published appellate decision.
Second-chaired a jury trial in a business conversion case resulting in a jury award of compensatory and punitive damages.
Obtained summary judgment for a construction company, resulting in dismissal of the entirety of claims, including breach of implied warranty and negligence.
Acting for a technology company in the marijuana space, obtained partial summary judgment in an arbitration case brought by a former employee.
