Cimi Bassi

Cimi Bassi is an associate in the Labour & Employment Practice Group, based in the Birmingham office, covering all areas of contentious and noncontentious employment law. Her particular expertise includes defending a wide range of Employment Tribunal claims, which she manages from the outset of the claim, with experience in conducting her own advocacy.

Cimi supports and advises clients through redundancy and reorganisation exercises, discrimination issues and unfair dismissal law. She has first-hand experience of chairing disciplinary and appeal hearings and other employee relations processes, having undertaken a secondment with a FTSE 100 hospitality client.

Cimi’s experience also includes carrying out grievance and whistleblowing investigations, drafting and reviewing settlement agreements, as well as other contractual and policy documentation, including employee handbooks; providing corporate support; and assisting businesses with various ad hoc day-to-day employment issues.
