About Denise

Denise Tang is a patent agent in our Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group, based in the Palo Alto office.

She represents clients in US and international patent prosecution from inventor disclosure through issuance, with technical depth in deep neural networks, large language models (LLMs), transformer and diffusion architectures, computer vision, 3D reconstruction, vision transformers (ViT), cloud computing, robotics and autonomous-driving systems. She also works with biotechnology, including drug and vaccine production.

Denise partners with clients, foreign associates and cross-functional intellectual property (IP) teams to develop and execute effective strategies for patent drafting, portfolio development and office action practice. She has experience supporting appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and focuses on clear, technically rigorous claim sets aligned with product roadmaps and commercialization goals. She holds an M.S. in computer science, with a focus on artificial intelligence, and a B.S. in mathematics, which ground her legal work in technical rigor and systems-level thinking.
