Prior to joining the firm, Everett served as a senior trial attorney in the US Department of Justice, where he litigated civil fraud cases and defended the US government and governmental officials in federal courts.

Prevailed in a five-day bench trial against an insurance and annuity broker who operated his company as a Ponzi scheme and defrauded creditors.
