About Jennifer

Jenny Jones is a senior associate in the Restructuring & Insolvency Practice Group in the Leeds office, providing advice to insolvency practitioners, companies, directors and creditors.

Jenny advises on complex restructurings and refinances, providing guidance to asset-based lenders, private equity providers and companies.

Jenny’s expertise covers all areas of corporate insolvency, including administrations, liquidations, associated distressed/insolvent sales, Company Voluntary Arrangements and complex insolvent property transactions.

Experience

  • Advising the board of the Customade Group, a national manufacturer and distributor of windows and doors, with a turnover of circa £110 million, and assisting with an accelerated sale process, which culminated in administrators from Alvarez & Marsal being appointed, and the business and assets being sold to two different buyers.

  • Acting for the administrators of the bathroom retailer Victoria Plum, on the sale of the business and assets to a trade buyer.

  • Acting for administrators from Interpath Advisory on the trading administration and subsequent sale of the business and assets of the Slack & Parr group.

  • Advising the administrators of Real Good Food PLC and J F Renshaw Ltd on management of the administration, including realisation of property, intercreditor agreements and distributions to creditors.

  • Advising administrators from Alvarez & Marsal on the sale of business and assets of Go Plant group to Sweeptech.

  • Advising various boards of directors on their duties to creditors and others during financial distress.

  • Acting for the administrators of Crawshaws Butchers, Ltd., a listed company with a turnover in excess of £20 million, on the sale of the business.

  • Acting for the buyer of the majority of the business and assets of Hewden Stuart, a specialist plant hire group with a turnover of approximately £80 million, from its administrators.

  • Acting for the administrators/liquidators of UK Coal Production Ltd. on an extensive portfolio comprising a broad spectrum of property, contentious and noncontentious insolvency advice.

  • Advising on LPA appointments and large property portfolio sales by both private treaty and auction in excess of £3.2 million.
