About Le Jing

Le Jing Ong is a corporate lawyer in the firm’s global Corporate Practice, with a focus on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures and corporate restructurings, in a range of sectors.

Le Jing advises multinational corporates, private equity and venture capital investors, family offices and listed companies on complex buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, minority and control investments, carve-outs, distressed acquisitions and post-acquisition integration matters across Asia Pacific. Her experience spans transactions involving technology platforms, telecommunications services, life sciences and data-driven businesses, often with multijurisdictional regulatory and structuring considerations.

In addition to her M&A practice, Le Jing has a strong background in capital markets and financing transactions, allowing her to advise seamlessly on acquisition financing, equity and equity-linked investments and exit-driven structuring. She regularly works with clients at the intersection of M&A and capital markets, including transactions involving listed acquirers, pre-initial public offering (IPO) restructurings and growth capital investments.

Experience

  • Acted for Avation Group in its establishment of a US$1 billion GMTN Programme and the issuance of US$300 million senior unsecured note under the programme.*

  • Acted for Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd on its convertible bond issues, amounting to US$5 billion in total, the largest-ever Regulation S-only convertible bond deal at the time of issuance.*

  • Acted for a lender, an Australia-based venture capital company, in its term facility of up to US$35 million to a Singapore company.*

  • Acted for an Australia-based venture capital company and other investors in the acquisition of a majority stake in a biotech company for an aggregate of approximately US$30 million.*

  • Acted for a Lisbon Stock Exchange-listed subsidiary of a multinational company in the energy industry on its proposed acquisition of a solar energy plant in Vietnam, with an asset value of approximately US$35 million.*

  • Acted for Apeiron Agrocommidities Pte. Ltd. in its issue of SG$50 million green bonds, which is listed on the Singapore Exchange.*

  • Acted for a CSFG group entity in its subscription of bonds issued by a Hong Kong Exchange -listed company by way of private placement.*

  • Acted for a multinational bank in its term facility of up to US$75 million to a NASDAQ-listed company.*

  • Acted for a lender, a US-based global financing provider, in its growth capital loan of up to US$70 million in respect of the securities granted by the borrower’s Singapore subsidiaries.*

  • Acted for a food and beverage chain in its listing on the Hong Kong Exchange.*
