About Michael
Michael Ryan, who is fluent in German and English, is a US lawyer and accomplished litigator who is admitted to practice law in New York and California. He has successfully assisted clients in defending product liability, toxic tort and complex civil lawsuits filed in federal and state courts in virtually every state in the US, as well as Canada, South Africa, China, Europe and the Middle East.
He has been personally involved in all phases of defense preparation, including service of process issues, jurisdictional disputes, discovery challenges, motions, preparation of corporate witnesses for depositions, taking depositions, court appearances, defense strategy, mediation, trial preparation and trial.
Michael frequently advises clients on issues pertaining to liability assessment/prevention and risk management.
He has extensive experience advising manufacturers of various products regarding their international obligations to warn consumers about the potential risks that may be associated with the use or misuse of a particular product, as well as first-hand experience in drafting extensive warnings.
Michael has knowledge regarding cross-border discovery management and litigation coordination. He often conducts training regarding litigation and related international challenges.
