She graduated cum laude from American University Washington College of Law, where she was a judicial merit scholar, a senior staffer for the Business Law Review, and a member of the Black Law Students Association. Prior to law school, Nyet graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in public health and completed several internships in the health policy arena.
