Olivia Canessa Davies is an associate in our Litigation team based in London.

Olivia has broad experience in disputes across a range of sectors. She specialises in High Court litigation, including cross-border disputes.

Olivia also undertakes a variety of contentious, regulatory and commercial matters within the sports sector, working within our Sports & Entertainment Industry Group. Her clients include domestic sports clubs, sports governing bodies and athletes.

Olivia has completed secondments at two Premier League football clubs and an international sports federation.

Experience

  • Acting for domestic and international football clubs in high-profile disputes under the regulations of the Football Association, Premier League, UEFA and FIFA.

  • Advising various Premier League and EFL football clubs in relation to compliance with domestic/international regulations, including the Profitability and Sustainability Rules and the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players.

  • Acting for sports governing bodies in conducting internal investigations into issues such as discrimination and culture.

  • Acting for a sports data company on claims in various jurisdictions arising out of misappropriation of data and breach of licence conditions.
