About Peter
Peter qualified into the Pensions Practice Group in 2016, having trained with the firm. Advising trustee boards and sponsoring employers, he has experience of a range of aspects of occupational pension plans such as plan documentation, investments and legislative compliance.
Peter was awarded the prize for the highest-scoring LPC mark among the firm’s trainee intake in 2014, and has been heavily involved in the firm’s charitable, pro bono and business in the community initiatives.
Experience
- Advising on the UK pensions implications (under plan rules and automatic-enrolment legislation) of international secondments (both inbound and outbound).
- Drafting a wide range of rules amendments in relation to commutation, same-sex marriage, death in service benefits and other matters.
- Reviewing and updating the member booklets of a plan with multiple benefit categories.
- Drafting documentation in relation to employer debt, for example flexible apportionment arrangements and a deed of amendment of a PPF-compliant guarantee.
- Preparing an investment review of a Cayman Island OEIC for the trustees of two defined-benefit pension plans.
- Advising a group of individual trustees on the adoption of a corporate trustee structure for their pension plan.
