About Robert

Robert Gravill is a consultant in our pensions practice based in our Birmingham office and a director of The Trustee Corporation Limited. He has particular expertise in acting as the Trustee of many pension arrangements. He chairs a number of trustee boards, is involved in several investment groups and works with pension plans which in aggregate have assets in excess of £2.5 billion and are responsible for the benefits of circa 50,000 people. He is also heavily involved in our highly regarded trustee training programme and heads a number of significant trustee relationships.

Experience

  • Heading complex multi party funding negotiations.
  • Dealing with State Aid issues and its interaction with the PPF.
  • Developing an integrated training programme for an FT100 company.
  • Dealing with a "buy in" insurance contract as part of a risk reduction programme.
  • Playing a lead role in the first mortality swap conducted by a UK pension plan.
