About Sydney

Sydney Bell is a litigation associate in the firm’s Cleveland office and a member of the globally ranked data disputes practice.

Sydney represents clients in high-stakes data privacy and cybersecurity litigation. She has extensive experience defending companies in data breach class actions and other privacy-related disputes, including claims arising under the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA), the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) and the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).

In addition to her data disputes practice, Sydney represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters across a range of industries.

Before attending law school, Sydney worked as a strategy and operations consultant in Washington DC, advising some of the largest federal government agencies on a wide range of initiatives.

Sydney earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she was an Emmerich de Vattel international law scholar and served as executive articles editor of the Journal of International Law.
