Asia Pacific Labour & Employment Clinic

Wednesday 15 May – Thursday 16 May 2024
8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (SST)

The Labour & Employment (L&E) Clinic is our signature and most popular event that runs as part of our yearly event programme, and we are delighted that you are able to join us.

This unique and complimentary event provides the opportunity for guests to meet with our L&E experts from across the Asia Pacific region to discuss employment topics that you may be experiencing, in a private consultation.

You will have received your personalised schedule of appointments for this event via email, as well as individual invites to MS Teams meetings with your allocated jurisdictional expert. Each meeting will last up to 30 minutes, with the exception of our hot topic seminars, which run for an hour.

To enhance your experience of this event, we have collated all our event materials, FAQs, and key contacts on this site. We recommend that you take a few moments to familiarise yourself with these resources ahead of the event.

What is the Asia Pacific L&E Clinic?

The L&E clinic is a combination of 1-to-1 private consultations with our expert lawyers covering specific Asia Pacific jurisdictions and group seminars on current hot topics in the employment space. It will provide you with an opportunity to discuss any L&E issues that you may be experiencing. The clinic has been designed to allow you to customise a programme to suit your specific requirements.

When and where will the clinic take place?

The clinic will be held virtually via MS Teams from Wednesday 15 May to Thursday 16 May 2024, enabling you to access our Asia Pacific L&E resources from wherever you do business.

How does the clinic work?

During the event registration process, you selected the hot topic sessions of interest to you, as well as the jurisdictional experts that you would like to meet with, at a time that suits you. More recently, you will have received your personalised event schedule via email, to confirm your appointment times and which experts you will be meeting with.

Each jurisdiction that you select as part of the registration process will take place as a private 30-minute consultation session, and you should have received MS Teams meeting requests from each of the jurisdictional experts that you are scheduled to meet with.

Similarly, each hot topic session will take place as a group session, and last approximately one hour.

All you need to do is join your MS Teams meetings at the scheduled time.

My availability has changed since the registration process, and I need to change my event schedule – what should I do?

We understand that things change, and competing work demands may mean that you may not be able to attend all of your meetings as planned. In this case, please email Claudia Stephen as soon as possible to update us on your availability.

Where possible, we will do our best to reschedule your appointment, or add additional appointments within the timeframe of the event; however, this is a highly popular event, and any rescheduled or additional appointments will be subject to availability.

What should I do if I have IT problems?

If IT problems are affecting your engagement with this event, then in the first instance we recommend that you contact your own IT support teams. Their local knowledge of IT systems and connectivity means that they are better able to efficiently resolve your issue.

We will have IT support on hand to ensure all of our hot topic group sessions run seamlessly, and they will be available via the MS Teams chat function should you require audio or visual support during these sessions.
