With the deadline of November 2023 for the mandatory implementation of biodiversity net gain requirements fast approaching, the government has published its response to the consultation that took place at the beginning of 2022 that sheds further light on the approach to biodiversity. Within this article we have sought to provide a brief summary of some of the main highlights of the consultation response and the potential future opportunities that could arise.
