We invite you to experience our annual continuing legal education (CLE) program entitled “Prime Time Ethics,” which is available now for on-demand streaming. This year’s program is once again written and produced by our very own lawyer-director Steve Delchin, and it uniquely explores ethics and professionalism through the use of TV lawyers from your favorite prime time TV shows. The list includes Jackie Chiles (Seinfeld), Lionel Hutz (The Simpsons), Arnie Becker (L.A. Law), Saul Goodman (Better Call Saul), and many more!
As always, prepare to be both educated and entertained. This year’s topics include:
A deep dive into the attorney-client privilege in the corporate context
Acting ethically when engaged in negotiations, especially when the lines get blurry
How the rule against sexual relations with clients affects all lawyers
Lawyer mental struggles following the pandemic, and how to find help
Unique aspects of the no-contact rule that you did not think of, but should
The hot debate over the anti-money laundering revisions to the ethics rules and whether the US Congress will step in
Ethical issues in litigation financing
What post-pandemic professionalism looks like
A candid discussion of the problem of implicit bias in the practice of law
The complimentary Prime Time Ethics program is approved for 2.50 hours of attorney professional conduct (including ethics, professionalism and elimination of bias) in the following jurisdictions: AZ, CA, CT, DE, GA, FL, KY, IL, IN, NJ, NM, NY, NV, OH, PA, TX and WA.
