Squire Patton Boggs has advised Crystal Plaza Resorts on the sale of its Amari Havodda Maldives resort to Minor International Public Company Limited (MINT), the Thai hospitality and lifestyle conglomerate, and its financial partner, Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.
The Squire Patton Boggs team advising Crystal Plaza Resorts was led by partner Elias Hayek, leader of the firm’s global Hospitality & Leisure Group, in Dubai, supported by Brian Gordon, Mark Palermo, Eviaty Jenie, Dominique Hibell and Clement Lin.
The luxury 120-villa Amari Havodda Maldives, which opened in 2016, is located on Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll in the southern region of the archipelago, 400km south of the Maldives capital Male. Amari Havodda will be integrated into MINT’s existing portfolio of six properties in the Maldives.
