Squire Patton Boggs has advised Rendesco, the UK’s leading clean heat network developer and owner-operator, on its latest fundraising to expand its operations and further develop its solutions in the UK and European energy markets. The new minority investment has been led by Clean Growth Fund, Eurazeo’s Smart City fund, and Aviva Ventures. They join existing investor Copley Point Capital.
The team advising Rendesco was led by Corporate partners Andrea Cropley and Ben Squires and involved lawyers from the firm’s Leeds, London, Manchester and Dublin offices.
Founded in 2012, Rendesco has become a leader in the UK's emerging heat pump market. The new funding will accelerate Rendesco’s growth and innovation plans to provide a low-carbon alternative to gas grid infrastructure, including a broadening of its climate technology capabilities with more intelligent and consumer-centric home energy management systems.
