Squire Patton Boggs congratulates partner Helen Yang on her appointment to serve as a Judge in the Los Angeles Superior Court. Ms. Yang was sworn in on May 17, 2025.
In February, California Gov. Gavin Newsom nominated Ms. Yang along with 13 other judges to superior courts across the state, filling vacancies in seven counties.

Ms. Yang, who was promoted to partner at Squire Patton Boggs in 2016, focused her practice on complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. She handled an extensive variety of cases including environmental toxic tort litigation, business contractual disputes, product liability, real estate and intellectual property matters. She also previously served as Deputy in the Riverside County Counsel’s Office from 2008 – 2009.
Ms. Yang received her Juris Doctor degree from Cornell Law School. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Michael Linfield.
