Squire Patton Boggs has acted for Far East Consortium on all real estate matters relating to Perth Hub, the first residential development at Perth City Link.
Far East Consortium’s development includes a mix of 314 residential apartments, amenities, and ground floor retail spaces. The project complements the City Link precinct, an area which is leading the way to enhancing the cultural and commercial vibrancy of Perth, providing a seamless blend of living, working, and leisure spaces.
The Squire Patton Boggs team was led by Real Estate partner Mark Palermo. The team’s scope of work included advising on the early works contract, consultant agreements and the design and construct contract, preparing the pro-forma sale contract for the apartments, advising on strata titling matters and ownership structure. Since the commencement of sales, the Perth team has managed all sale contracts, provided advice on FIRB and stamp duty matters, ensured strata title compliance, and worked closely with settlement agents to prepare documentation and processes in the lead-up to completion.
Mark Palermo commented: “We are pleased to have worked with Far East Consortium on completion of the first private residential development at Perth City Link. Our team worked on all aspects of the development from pre-sale contracting, financing and to completing over 300 settlements. This development was particularly significant because of the large component of affordable housing apartments. We thank Far East Consortium for instructing us through this development.”
