Squire Patton Boggs has been recognized as ‘Lawyer of the Year’ at the LGC (Local Government Chronicle) Investment Awards. The award was presented at an event at the Park Hyatt London River Thames on 28th November.
The annual LGC Investment Awards recognise excellence across the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) community, celebrating best practice that drives the LGPS forward in an ever-changing environment.
The firm has a long-standing involvement in the LGPS and its work over the past year has included advising LGPS pools and partner funds on investment pooling reform, training and support on fiduciary investment duties, advising on the payment of exit credits and assisting LGPS clients with illiquid assets transactions in the secondary market.
Matthew Giles, head of the Squire Patton Boggs Pensions Practice, said: “We’re really grateful to the judges for selecting our team for this award. Our thanks also go to the many clients who seek out our advice on so many complex public sector pensions matters. Having last month claimed the title of ‘Law Firm of the Year’ at the 2025 LAPF Investments Awards, we are honoured to have completed this public sector pensions double.”
