Simon Ayling
Associate
Simon Ayling is an associate in the global Corporate Practice based in our London office. His practice covers all aspects of corporate work, including corporate transactions (such as mergers, acquisitions, disposals, private equity and funding), structural and governance issues, and corporate finance matters.
Simon acts for businesses across a range of sectors such as education, media, technology, recruitment, energy, healthcare and corporate investors.
Private Equity
- Advising private equity firm H.I.G. Capital on its acquisition of CPS Building Services, Classic Lifts and Meesons Futures to form the Andwis Group.
- Advising Lloyds Development Capital and MSQ Partners on the circa £170 million sale of MSQ Partners to private equity firm One Equity Partners.
- Advising the transport logistics company AnyVan on its £125 million investment by private equity firm Vitruvian Partners.
- Advising the founders and senior managers of Opus Talent Solutions on the management buyout of the business by Graphite Capital.
M&A
- Advising Results International on its merger with Canaccord Genuity.
- Advising MVF Marketing on its acquisition of Expert Reviews.
- Advising Cavotec SA on the €10 million divestment of its airports business to US-based investment company Fernweh Group.
- Advising Sonnedix on its acquisition of a 300 MW UK portfolio of five solar projects from Lightsource bp.
- Advising the shareholders of hotel technology company Avvio Limited on their sale to Sceptre Hospitality Resources (a branch of Serent Capital).
Joint Venture
- Advising Copley Point on its joint venture with Brookfield Asset Management to invest £180 million into a UK logistics property portfolio in 2022, and the acquisition of logistics warehouses from Tritax Big Box REIT for £125 million in 2023.
- Advising Regis Group and Leaf Living on their house-building joint venture with Blackstone.
- Advising renewable energy business Econergy International on a €250 million investment by RGREEN INVEST.
