Simon Ayling is an associate in the global Corporate Practice based in our London office. His practice covers all aspects of corporate work, including corporate transactions (such as mergers, acquisitions, disposals, private equity and funding), structural and governance issues, and corporate finance matters.

Simon acts for businesses across a range of sectors such as education, media, technology, recruitment, transport, energy, healthcare and corporate investors.

  • Advising H.I.G. Capital, LLC on its acquisitions of CPS Building Services Limited and Classic Lifts.
  • Advising the transport logistics company AnyVan on its £125 million investment by private equity firm Vitruvian Partners.
  • Advising the founders and senior managers of Opus Talent Solutions on the management buyout of the business by Graphite Capital.
  • Advising Copley Point on its joint venture with Brookfield Asset Management to invest £180 million into a UK logistics property portfolio.
  • Advising Cavotec SA on the €10 million divestment of its airports business to US-based investment company, Fernweh Group.
  • Advising Sonnedix on its acquisition of a 300MW UK portfolio of five solar projects from Lightsource bp.
  • Advising the shareholders of hotel technology company Avvio Limited on their sale to Sceptre Hospitality Resources (a branch of Serent Capital).
  • Advising Regis Group and Leaf Living on their house-building joint venture with Blackstone.
