Michael is a member of the firm’s EU Public Policy Practice and currently advises global internet companies on public policy issues and the consequences of disruptive technologies. 

Concurrently with his role at the firm, Michael is President of Bartholomew Advisors SCS, where he provides government and public affairs advice on issues involving internet, media and telecoms legislation. Among his clients are major internet players and disruptive technology firms.

Previously, Michael served for 11 years as Director General of the European Telecommunications Network Operators’ Association (ETNO), the trade association representing Europe’s 50 largest telecommunications operators in 35 countries. Michael was also Director for European Affairs for the Motion Picture Association, representing the interests of Hollywood studios.

Michael’s previous experience also includes senior positions at Fleishman Hillard and Bart Information and Monitoring Services.

With a Master of Science in journalism, Michael worked for 25 years as a journalist for international radios, wire services and newspapers and is a frequent conference speaker and moderator.
