Patrick Burke focuses his practice on commercial and structured finance including representing creditors and borrowers in the negotiation, documentation and management of both secured and unsecured single-bank and syndicated credit facilities. He also has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance and general corporate law matters.

Prior to practicing law, Patrick spent eight years in the commercial banking industry, holding credit management and commercial lending positions with several financial institutions.

Patrick is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. He has also been recognized in Ohio Super Lawyers – Rising Stars, a distinction that recognizes lawyers under the age of 40 or those in practice for 10 years or fewer.

Patrick is a member of the Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations. He is also a former chair of the Banking and Financial Services Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and a member of the St. Raphael School Advisory Committee.

  • Representing an owner-operator of amusement parks in connection with a US$2.09 billion credit facility.
  • Representing the lead agent in connection with a US$180 million multicurrency secured syndicated credit facility for an automotive supplier.
  • Representing a commercial bank in several commercial real estate financing transactions.
  • Representing a diversified industrial manufacturing company in a US$130 million acquisition of a multinational industrial hose manufacturer.
  • Representing a publicly held multinational borrower in the US$2.6 billion financing for its acquisition of another publicly held multinational chemical company including a US$1.65 billion senior secured revolving and term loan facility.
  • Representing the lead arranger and agent in connection with a US$200 million multicurrency secured syndicated credit facility to provide acquisition financing to a packaging and label service provider.
