Amaury de Borchgrave d’Altena is counsel in the corporate M&A team of our Brussels office. Amaury’s practice focuses on all aspects of corporate and M&A transactions. Amaury also regularly advises clients on regulatory and compliance matters.

Amaury advises a broad range of clients in Belgium and abroad on M&A transactions, including mergers, joint ventures, restructuring and other commercial transactions.

His work is focused on a wide range of industries, including banking and financial services, technology, chemicals, automotive, manufacturing, mining and retail.

Prior to joining the firm, Amaury worked for eight years in the Brussels office of a leading international American law firm. He gained further experience as in-house counsel for a large multinational Japanese group.

Amaury is the author of a number of articles and newsletters in relation to corporate law in Belgium, including recent guides to shareholders’ rights in private and public companies in Belgium (Practical Law, Thomson Reuters, 2018) and to shareholder activism in Belgium (Practical Law, Thomson Reuters, 2019).
