Laura Deamer-Macaulay is a lawyer in our Labour & Employment Practice. She advises a wide range of well-known businesses on a variety of employment issues and covers all areas of contentious and non-contentious work.

Laura’s particular expertise covers defending a variety of Employment Tribunal claims, including discrimination, trade union detriment, whistleblowing, TUPE, breach of contract and unfair dismissal.

Laura also undertakes a broad range of advisory work through day-to-day queries and project work. This work can range from advising on company restructures, redundancies and TUPE matters, to addressing disciplinary and grievance issues, general absence, and capability concerns.

Laura delivers bespoke training workshops and presentations to clients and contacts on a range of employment topics.

  • Advising companies and senior individuals on negotiating severance packages and settlement agreements.
  • Drafting and negotiating service agreements, consultancy agreements and other contractual and policy documentation.
  • Works closely with the corporate team on mergers, acquisitions and disposals, to advise on the process, carry out the due diligence and draft relevant documents.
