Maxime Dequesne is a partner in the Corporate Practice in Paris and is a member of the Private Equity team. Maxime’s expertise covers all types of corporate work, in particular private equity and mainstream mergers and acquisitions (both locally and internationally).

On the private equity side, Maxime primarily advises small and mid cap LBO funds, but also advises management teams in the context of LBO transactions, in addition to working on growth and venture capital financing. On the corporate side, Maxime assists strategic players in their acquisition strategy, as well as portfolio companies in the context of add-ons. Maxime has also developed a practice of distressed M&A and restructuring of private equity transactions.

Maxime’s style is to ensure that law is at the service of the client’s business at all times, with very strong personal involvement at all stages of the transaction.

Maxime regularly lectures for young investment professionals at France Invest, and students at ESSEC and EM Lyon.

  • Acting on behalf of an industrial group in the context of its build-up strategy (eight transactions in four years) in the security solutions business.
  • Acting on behalf of Aquasourça SA in the context of the LBO on the Jock group.
  • Acting on behalf of Groupe La Poste on acquisitions in the digital marketing and healthcare sectors.
  • Assisting a client in the context of a US$2 million dispute in relation to an earn-out.

  • Acting on behalf of a French beverage industrial player in the context of the acquisition of a distributor in the UK.
