Nima has over 13 years’ experience acting for lenders and borrowers on a range of complex cross-border banking transactions. He has a broad practice covering origination financings across a variety of sectors and asset classes, debt restructurings and special situations, and financial services regulation.
Nima’s expertise extends across various types of debt structures, including conventional, Islamic and multisourced transactions. He has a deep understanding of the nuances involved in structuring and executing financing arrangements and is proficient across a range of financing disciplines and loan products. These include project finance, syndicated loans, acquisition finance, real estate finance, marine and other asset financings and debt workouts.
Based in Dubai for almost a decade, Nima possesses a comprehensive understanding of the legal, regulatory and cultural nuances that arise on cross-border finance deals in the Middle East. His cross-cultural competence and adaptability allow him to navigate through the legal and commercial complexities of transactions, providing practical, creative and strategic guidance to clients operating in global markets.
In addition to his core finance transactional expertise, Nima advises financial institutions, issuers, digital asset and other businesses on the regulatory, licensing and general corporate landscape of the UAE, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
Prior to moving to Dubai, Nima was part of the leveraged finance team of a magic circle firm in London.
