Oliver is a director in our Restructuring & Insolvency Practice Group based in our Birmingham office. He advises corporates, not-for-profits, charities, banks, insolvency practitioners and other key stakeholders in all aspects of restructuring and insolvency law, both contentious and non-contentious.

Oliver has experience in insolvent transactions, restructuring, security reviews and a range of contentious matters.

Oliver has been listed as a recommended lawyers in The Legal 500 UK for the last four years, as someone who conducts work in a “timely manner” (2015) and showing “knowledge in depth” (2014). He is recognised as a Next Generation Lawyer in the 2017 edition.

In 2011, Oliver obtained his Certificate in Practical Insolvency (CPI).

  • Advising insolvency practitioners on the pre-pack administration and subsequent sale of various businesses.
  • Restructure of banking facilities on a merger of an education institution.
  • Advising directors in respect of an investigation by the Secretary of State pursuant to the Company Director’s Disqualification Act.
  • Assisting an insolvency practitioner in presenting an application against a government body pursuant to section 236 of the Insolvency Act 1986.
  • Advising charge holders on enforcement of security.
  • Advising insolvency practitioners generally in respect of investigations and antecedent transitions.
  • Advising on confidential solvent restructurings and refinancing for major clearing bank clients.
