About Andy

Andy Kirkham joined the firm in 2022. Andy undertakes a wide variety of transaction work, which includes bilateral and syndicated facilities and complex security arrangements for banks, funds, private equity providers and both onshore and offshore borrowers, with a particular focus on acquisition and leveraged finance, real estate finance (both development and investment), restructuring and general corporate lending. Andy previously completed a seven-month secondment in the strategic debt finance team at a British retail and commercial bank.

  • Acting for the Driver Hire Group in connection with facilities in relation to its MBO and investment by Pricoa Private Capital.
  • Acting for Lloyds Bank plc in connection with super senior revolving credit facilities to the Imagesound Group.
  • Acting for Clydesdale Bank PLC in connection with first lien facilities in connection with EPE’s investment in Rayware Limited.*

  • Acting for a syndicate of three banks on a £215 million development facility to Downing for the development of student accommodation in Coventry, Manchester and London.*
  • Acting for Select Property Group on its £169 million senior and mezzanine development financing for three student accommodation schemes.*
  • Acting for HSBC UK Bank plc in connection with its £65 million investment facility to Wyldecrest Parks Limited, a national residential park home operator.*
  • Acting for a major clearing bank on the financing of an international hotel group.*

Restructuring

  • Acting for HSBC UK Bank plc in connection with the restructure of an international FTSE listed automotive and aerospace parts manufacturer and the amendment and restatement of its banking facilities.*
  • Acting for a syndicate of three clearing banks in relation to the restructure of a clothing manufacturer, which included the amendment and restatement of its facilities agreement and a letter of credit facility agreement.*

Corporate Lending

  • Acting for James Cropper plc in connection with its ESG and sustainability linked facility agreement with a two-bank syndicate and backed by UK Export Finance.
  • Acting for a Premier League football club in connection with its finance arrangements with a two-bank syndicate and backed by UK Export Finance.
  • Acting for a syndicate of clearing banks on their facilities to a listed UK law firm.*
