Angela Melo
Associate
Angela Melo is a detail-oriented attorney who advises and assists clients in corporate law, financing transactions, regulatory compliance, contractual and public procurement matters, participating and assisting in transactions and deals, including sales, assets and liabilities assignments, capital reductions, due diligence and company maintenance. She also supports clients in labor and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with applicable local requirements.
Angela focuses her practice on assisting national and multinational clients with their day-to-day corporate and operational needs, particularly those involved in public procurement processes, concession agreements and renewable energy projects. She ensures efficient legal maintenance and business continuity across industries such as energy, manufacturing, port concession and bidding processes.
She concentrates her practice on secured and unsecured financing operations, public bidding processes and corporate maintenance, including the drafting and negotiation of documentation required for the operation of commercial entities, as well as nonprofit organizations. Angela has extensive experience assisting international investors, local and international entities, distributors, free trade zone entities and industrial parks, as well as companies participating in renewable energy initiatives.
- Assisting and supporting one of the largest manufacturers of construction and mining equipment with its financing operations in the Dominican Republic.
- Advising clients on contractual matters, including the structuring and securing of a significant number of asset-backed financing transactions for the acquisition of heavy equipment in the Dominican Republic.
- Participating in due diligence procedures for the acquisition and sale of companies in the Dominican Republic.
- Advising corporate clients throughout public procurement processes, including the review and analysis of bidding terms, preparation of submission documentation and general assistance during each phase of the bidding process.
- Advising local and foreign clients on ongoing corporate, tax and labor compliance matters, including company maintenance and governance documentation.
