Louise (Lok Yee) Ng focuses her practice on communication and corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions and private equity. Louise advises clients on regulatory issues in the telecommunications industry, and also serves her clients by assisting their day-to-day commercial needs in contract drafting and negotiation.

Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Louise was an associate with an international law firm in Hong Kong where her experience included advising multinational clients in mergers and acquisitions in Hong Kong and China.

  • Acting for and advising a privately funded investment company in its debt/equity investments in the US, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Acting for and advising a NYSE-listed electronics and equipment provider in its acquisition of a group of companies in the system integration and computer services industry having businesses in the PRC, Hong Kong and Macau.
  • Acting for and advising a leading Europe-based telecommunications operator in its acquisition of a Hong Kong-based broadcasting and telecommunications company.
  • Acting for and advising one of the largest global telecommunications companies based in Japan in its acquisition of a premier data center in Hong Kong.
  • Acting for and advising a Europe-based investment bank in its debt financing transactions.
  • Advising a US-based telecom company on its VoIP business and the regulatory landscape in Hong Kong and other parts of the world.
  • Assisting and advising clients in negotiations, and drafting intellectual property license, fiber lease and bandwidth license agreements.  
  • Assisting and advising clients in restructuring a group of companies including drafting and preparation of relevant transaction and corporate documentation.
  • Assisting clients on acquisition or setting up of private equity ventures including drafting and preparing transaction documentation.
  • Working in the legal department of an international investment banking firm (as secondee) focusing on contractual matters and assisting other in-house legal counsels in their relevant areas of practice such as human capital management, tax and regulatory matters.
