Adriana Pavlovičová joined the firm in 2023 as an associate in the International Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, Adriana worked as a junior associate for internationally recognised law firms and as a legal and data protection trainee at the EUIPO in Alicante, Spain.

Adriana has experience with international commercial arbitration and investor-state arbitration. She has also been involved in various business transactions, including negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts and other agreements related to business activities such as mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Additionally, she participates in employment matters and due diligence reviews, focusing on corporate, employment and IP issues.

Adriana is a registered legal trainee with the Slovak Bar Association.

  • Representing the Slovak Republic in an ICSID arbitration initiated by Discovery Global LLC, a US exploration company, arising under the US-Slovakia BIT in connection with an alleged expropriation claim-ant’s investment in oil and gas exploration in Slovakia. (ICSID Case No. ARB/21/51)
  • Representing a subsidiary of private investment company in a commercial arbitration proceeding before the Permanent Arbitration Court at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, initiated by its former business partner claiming for the alleged breaches of a share purchase agreement.
  • Providing legal advice to a leading global events organiser, to facilitate seamless immigration processes for foreign-based workers, enabling smooth and efficient event organisation in the Slovak Republic, including entry visa, residency and work permitting in the Slovak territory and related consultations with the foreign police and the labour inspectorate.
  • Advising a municipality on various real estate and construction matters, in particular to help the municipality to acquire land for its sports and recreation zone that it lost in a previous complex historical litigation.
  • Assisting an American multinational information technology services and consulting company in connection with ongoing employment matters, including individual hiring and dismissals, contracts and immigration issues.
  • Assisting a foreign embassy in connection with the negotiation of an international contract.
  • Assisted in advising multiple employers on their daily labour and employment agendas, including collective redundancy, unlawful termination, discrimination cases and cross-border mobility.
  • Representing clients in front of data protection authorities in data breach notification proceedings.
  • Assisting multiple multinational corporations with data protection and compliance matters.
  • Advising clients on M&A, including due diligence regarding employment, corporate and IP matters.
