Mark Palermo has been recognised and recommended in Best Lawyers in Australia and Doyle’s Guide for his real property, and hospitality and tourism work.
Mark’s practice includes commercial property law, hospitality and liquor licensing, and project finance.
In Western Australia, Mark has represented clients on the acquisition and disposal of hotels (both accommodation hotels and tavern hotels) and liquor stores, and has experience in new liquor licensing matters. Mark also has broad experience in real estate development, including private and civic site redevelopments and joint venture contracting. He has represented various clients on office space leasing within some of the most iconic towers across Perth’s skyline. He also acts for various borrower clients on project and corporate finance matters.
Mark spent a year in Brisbane, where he assisted with the drafting, preparation and management of leases for a new major Queensland shopping centre.
Mark was the President of the University of Western Australia Graduate Management Association Inc. (having previously held the roles of Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) from 2014 to 2016, and from 2010 to 2012 was a member of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (WA) (UDIA) Outlook@UDIA committee.
Mark was a presenter of the commercial property section of the UDIA Professional Development Program from 2009 to 2017. In September 2012, Mark was a finalist in the UDIA Young Development Professional Scholarship.
