Abduss Patel is a partner in the Real Estate team.
Abduss’ experience and expertise covers an array of commercial real estate matters and, most notably, investments, roadside retail developments, corporate occupiers and hospitality.
Abduss acts on behalf of family offices and high-net worth individuals, both onshore and offshore. He possesses an excellent understanding of investor concerns and works within a close internal team advising such clients.
Abduss has been highly regarded for his commerciality, timeliness of advice and for providing pragmatic and realistic legal solutions to client issues.
- Acquisition of prime London industrial real estate subject to circa 35 commercial leases with a value of £14.5 million.
- Acquisition of a portfolio of 46 properties in London with a value of £13.3 million.
- Acquisition and construction of roadside retail developments projects with pre-let agreements to household named operators such as Starbucks, Costa Coffee, McDonald’s, Greggs and Burger King.
- Disposal of a large hospitality asset for a consideration of €180 million for a UK based family office.
- Advised Middle Eastern Bank on a circa £10,000,000 term loan facility on a fixed rate Murabaha Structure with an offshore Holdco-Propco structure.
- Management of a large portfolio of properties (circa 300) including evictions, renewals, break notices, health and safety audits etc.
- Acts on behalf of a pub restaurant operator in acquiring freehold and leasehold properties and continues to manage its large portfolio of commercial premises.
- Acts on behalf of a pharmaceutical business in the management of its large portfolio of pharmacy properties (circa 75) and is experienced in the acquisition and disposal of pharmacy and optician businesses.
- Advising on the acquisition, disposals, leasebacks of Data Centre's with complex retention and escrow arrangements to preserve Tier IV fit out status.
- Acted on the acquisition of a portfolio of properties as part of a share sale with a total consideration of £100 million and involving circa 70 to 80 properties.
