Alix has corporate experience advising listed and unlisted corporations in connection with domestic and cross-border takeovers, corporate restructures and reorganisations, and private mergers and acquisitions transactions. She has advised on a range of resources matters, including mining project acquisitions and disposals, and joint ventures.

    Alix also has capital markets experience advising in relation to initial public offerings, rights issues and placements.

    In addition to Alix’s transactional experience, she has advised a wide range of clients in relation to corporate governance and regulatory matters, including compliance with the Corporations Act 2001, ASX Listing Rules and proceedings in the Takeovers Panel.

    • Acting for a consortium in relation to the acquisition of the Midland Brick business from ASX-listed company Boral Limited for AU$80million.
    • Acted for a private equity firm in relation to the divestment of an interest in a Northern Territory mining asset.
    • Acted for an ASX-listed company in relation to proceedings commenced in the Takeovers Panel relating to association and other matters.
    • Acted for a range of companies in relation to members’ meetings, employee share schemes, Takeovers Panel proceedings and corporate governance and regulatory matters, including compliance with the Corporations Act 2001, ASX Listing Rules, and Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Act.
    • Acted for various not-for-profit clients in relation to the incorporation and establishment of incorporated associations and companies limited by guarantee.
