Eoin Ryan is a senior policy advisor in the firm’s European Public Policy Practice. Eoin spent 25 years as an elected member of the Irish Parliament and during his office, acted as chairperson of the Transport Committee, amongst others. Eoin is a business strategy and management professional with experience managing projects and businesses at board level across Ireland, the UK and Africa.

Concurrently with his role at the firm, Eoin is a non-executive director of Ardilaun, an Ireland-focused oil and gas development company that seeks to operate four offshore exploration licences along the Atlantic Margin of Ireland. Duties include funding negotiations, strategy development and negotiations with foreign departments both at home and overseas, and managing international lobbying for both energy permits licensing and permits to do business.

Previous roles have included Country Director for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where his responsibilities included representing the constituency of Ireland/Denmark to drive the democracy and transparency of participating countries and make recommendations to the board on project financing.

Eoin served as an elected member of the European Parliament for the constituency of Dublin where he was coordinator of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, member of Committee on Development, member of Relations with India Committee and member of Petitions Committee. Appointed by the Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister) as Minister of State for Enterprise Trade and Tourism.
