Ben Ticehurst is an experienced litigation and regulatory lawyer specialising in government investigations and white collar, with a global focus to his practice.

Ben represents corporates and senior business executives advising on compliance, investigations and high stakes cross-border fraud, bribery and corruption, and other white-collar litigation. His experience as an investigations and white-collar specialist sees him successfully represent clients in cases brought by the UK and global law enforcement agencies.

He is an experienced practitioner in the niche area of private prosecutions, advising companies and high-net-worth individuals who have been victims of fraud or other white-collar crime.

Ben's increasing global practice sees his international work extend to advising on extradition requests and Interpol red notices. Ben is well placed to advise in respect to extradition requests globally, including requests from the US, EU, Middle East, Latin America, and Ukraine.

In the compliance and regulatory field, Ben advises corporates in many different sectors on their compliance policies and procedures. He conducts investigations when it is feared breaches of compliance policies have taken place.

  • Securing the acquittal of the most senior trader indicted in the SFO’s Euribor trials.
  • Obtaining convictions via a private prosecution on behalf of an iconic US streetwear company.
  • Advising individuals exposed to the SFO’s bribery and corruption investigation that led to a DPA with Amec Foster Wheeler (Wood Group).
  • Represented a former CEO in a global bribery and corruption SFO investigation regarding corrupt payments to Saudi government officials. The client was not charged.
  • Represented an oil and gas executive in an NCA investigation regarding allegations of paying bribes to the former Nigeria Oil Minister.
  • Represented a senior executive relating to the SFO's Unaoil bribery and corruption investigation with allegations of corrupt payment to Azerbaijani government officials. The client was not charged.
  • Successfully representing a Panama-based law firm on its application for the release of seized cash by the Met Police under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
