Andrea Truta is an associate in the Litigation team in Leeds. In her current role, Andrea deals with a range of commercial litigation and dispute resolution work, both of a national and international nature.

  • Part of the team acting for a client against a claim relating to a breach of contract, misrepresentation and third-party rights pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, potentially worth in excess of £20 million.
  • Defending a client against a breach of contract, involving cross-border issues, including jurisdictional challenges, with live proceedings in multiple jurisdictions, worth over £1 million.
  • Acting for a client in defending claims relating to breach of contract and warranties, and misrepresentation with regard to the performance of machinery, worth £4.5 million.
  • Assisted a client in an appeal before the First Tier Tax Tribunal, including issues related to remote attendance of a witness from outside the jurisdiction.
  • Acting for the public authority in successfully defending a procurement challenge brought against it by the unsuccessful bidder in relation to a service contract.
