Dr. Matthias Werner is a director in the Real Estate Practice Group and leads real estate asset management and asset deal transactions in Germany. He advises and represents clients on all aspects of real estate-related issues, particularly regarding issues of realty and commercial lease law.
Matthias handles asset deal transactions and property developments and advises regarding all issues of asset and property management, particularly commercial lease law, realty law, hereditary building rights and the rights of condominiums and public building law issues, such as planning law. He also advises clients in litigation and arbitration procedures.
Matthias has worked in the real estate industry for over 20 years, inter alia as general manager of an asset and property management business in Berlin and, since 2008, as a lawyer in international and German law firms. He has advised numerous mid- and large-cap real estate investors. In addition, he has been appointed a lecturer and examiner by the joint examination office of the states of Berlin and Brandenburg and the Berlin court of appeals (Kammergericht).
